Crystallization is a process of purifying CBD isolate from CBD oil by forming solid crystals that have a high purity and potency. Crystallization of CBD starts by dissolving the distilled CBD oil in a solvent such as pentane or hexane and cooling it down to form supersaturated solution. The solution is then agitated by stirring or sonication to induce nucleation and crystal growth. The crystals are then filtered, washed, and dried to obtain CBD isolate with 99.9% purity.

Our flagship offering, the Nutsche Filter Reactor, combines the functionalities of a reactor and a filtration system in one integrated unit. This design simplifies the CBD crystallization process, eliminating the need for separate filtration equipment and reducing processing time and labor. The Nutsche Filter Reactor has a perforated plate at the bottom that supports a filter cloth or mesh. It combines crystallization, filtration, washing, and optionally drying in one single vessel. It has a stirrer that can break up the filter cake and improve the washing and drying efficiency. We have the Nutsche Filter Reactor in both glass and stainless steel models.
